Bronze mixed-use development wins property award

Bronze, a recently-completed mixed-use development in Wandsworth, has been awarded an International Property Award 2020-21 in the Residential Development London category. Civil, geotechnical and structural engineering by Whitby Wood.
The project was realised by developer Strawberry Star for Workspace Group, and is the final phase of the wider Wandsworth Business Village. It provides 79 apartments in a multi-part 20 storey tower and office space in an adjoining four-storey building. Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt executed the design by Rolfe Judd Architecture.
The engineering challenges included a diverted road that passes through the buildings, and the tight deflection limits for the concrete frame design required to accommodate two full-height glazed facades. More on the engineering of Bronze >
