Mild Man of Steel : Mukesh Pritamdasani

Mukesh Pritamdasani, managing director of Whitby Wood Pritamdasani — our India practice — comes under the spotlight in the February edition of Indian steel construction industry magazine, ssmb.in.

Mukesh was invited to write about his path to engineering, the role of the structural engineer in the industry and his projects, past and present, that involve steel, in a “quick fire” article aimed at providing insights into the life and journey of a leading structural engineer. He has more than 30 years’ experience in structural design.

Early on, Mukesh worked on the design of petrochemical plants, where steel construction is the norm. He later moved into the commercial sector and now works on projects across all sectors of the built environment. Recent projects include the steel frame Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute at the Ellisbridge Hospital in Ahmedabad, which he delivered while head of buildings for Ramboll India. For WWP, he is currently working on steel roofing options for a stadium at Palava City, Maharashtra, for the Lodha Group.
