Whitby Wood Pritamdasani managing director Mukesh Pritamdasani knows the construction industry in India inside out. But this doesn’t stop him setting ambitious goals for himself and his team — goals for quality of service, innovative engineering and business growth.

A very successful leader and highly experienced structural design engineer, he believes that effective consultancy in the region requires more than the ability to get the work done fast, cost-effectively and to a high standard. Dependability and proactive leadership are also necessary. He is convinced of the value of starting work on the engineering approach early in a project’s development, and of truly understanding a project from the viewpoint of the developer and the architect.

Like many at Whitby Wood, Mukesh has worked alongside Mark Whitby before, joining Whitby Bird India shortly before the merger with Ramboll. He was Ramboll India’s director of buildings for 10 years, helping it grow from two people to 120 people.

He has always enjoyed working closely with younger members of his teams, mentoring and training them, and this he continues at Whitby Wood Pritamdasani. Mukesh is a family man, has travelled widely and … yes, he loves cricket! He’s good at it too.
