Veneer Court Tops Out
Veneer Court — also known as One Vinyl Square — is part of the Old Vinyl Factory development in Hayes, Middlesex, on the site of the former EMI record pressing plant. The eleven-storey U-plan tower is the tallest and final major stage of the whole project. The topping-out ceremony represents a significant milestone as the scheme comes closer to delivering a total of 134 new affordable homes — 57 homes for London Affordable Rent, 58 for Shared Ownership and 19 for London Living Rent.
George commented, “This is the first of several exciting projects we are working on with ARJ, and it was great to get together and celebrate the team’s hard work”.
We joined the project at RIBA Stage 4, and a long lead time allowed us to develop a raft foundation solution that delivered a 50% reduction in embodied carbon compared to a conventional piled foundation.
Veneer Court is designed by JTP Architects.
