ME (structural engineering) CEng (India) FIE MISSE
SENIOR DIRECTOR, INDIA
A leader in the engineering design of tall buildings in Mumbai — one of the world’s high-rise capitals — he has been working closely with many of the significant developers and architects in the city. He is particularly interested in the streamlining of design processes, the optimisation of the engineering, and the planning methodology of high-rise design and execution.
Before joining us, he was a team leader with Ramboll India, where he worked for 18 months alongside Mukesh Pritamdasani, now WWP’s managing director. They formed a strong working bond, sharing a determination to achieve very high standards in technical aspects and service delivery. Before that, Venkatesh worked with a structural consultancy in Mumbai for 15 years, and in civil engineering in Belgaum where he grew up and ran his own consultancy for a while.
Engineering is in his blood — he comes from a civil engineering family and was surrounded by infrastructure projects right from the start. He likes to travel and he spent four years working in Dubai. But his focus is truly on the design aspects of structural engineering. He loves the challenges.
Venkatesh holds high-rise licences for the municipal corporations of Greater Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Panvel. He holds structural licences for the Dubai Municipality (UAE) and the Belgavi Municipal Corporation.
