Offsite Construction Awards 2019 shortlist
The Boiler House is one of the country’s largest CLT-frame private housing projects. Located in Hayes, Hillingdon, in the Old Vinyl Factory regeneration scheme, it provides 54 one- and two-bed apartments over five levels. Two commercial/retail units are included, and a roof garden. The project received a high commendation in the 2018 Structural Timber Awards.
The building was completed in 2018 by Henry Construction for Hub Group, to the concept design of architect Studio Egret West. Stride Treglown was the delivery architect, with Whitby Wood providing structural and civil engineering, as well as lead geotechnical engineering. Specialist timber contractor Eurban procured and constructed the timber frame.
