Vinay Markar

Vinay Matkar and Mukesh Pritamdasani have worked together in various capacities since 2006, when Vinay joined Mukesh’s team at a previous consultancy. The team delivered some major projects, including a 300,000 sq m mixed use mall with a steel frame — a new construction material for the sector in India at the time. Vinay later joined Mukesh at Whitby Bird India, the practice co-founded by Mark Whitby, where he became a key member of Mukesh’s rapidly growing team, helping establish Whitby Bird India as a well-respected consultancy in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and many other locations. Whitby Bird merged with Danish giant Ramboll in 2007-2009.

While working at Whitby Bird/Ramboll, Vinay enrolled in a management college and studied in the evenings for a Master’s qualification in finance. His desire for a broader understanding of the construction industry led him to leave Ramboll India once his studies were complete and work in real estate development, joining the Lodha Group, one of Mukesh’s key clients, followed by Godrej Properties. Vinay returns to structural engineering with his recent appointment as a Whitby Wood Pritamdasani associate director, armed with enviable experience for our clients, collaborators and our practice.
